Let me Introduce You to Matrescence
Matrescence is the all-encompassing physical, psychological, and emotional changes women experience on the journey to and through motherhood. It’s the process of becoming a mother. Swaddled is more than a book. It’s a movement designed to wrap women in love and show up for them on their motherhood journey.
Join the Swaddled Community
Swaddled is a community built around the mothers who came before us, in honor of the mothers who come after us.
My goal is to hold new mothers as they enter one of the most transformative passages of their lives.
NEW MOTHERS
My wish is to prepare hopeful and expectant mothers for the becoming and the unbecoming.
HOPEFUL & EXPECTANT MOTHERS
My yearning is to hold space for those who are questioning their worth and to show them that they are enough.
EXPERIENCED MOTHERS
My calling is to listen to the unhealed wounds of untold stories to create a new legacy of motherhood.
GRANDMOTHERS
My offering is the gift of wisdom so that new mothers feel supported in their nest.
PARTNERS
My will is to create a world where new mothers can exist with dignity within the workforce.

Your Stories Can Heal the Next Generation of Mother
The stories of mothers are as unique and nuanced as motherhood itself—each one a vital thread in the colorful tapestry of this shared journey. By sharing what new motherhood really means, we can lift one another through one of life’s most profound metamorphoses.
As I work to build a community that wraps new mothers in love and support, I know the most powerful way to unite mothers—old and new—is by sharing our stories. And I want to hear yours.
If motherhood brought you to your knees and back,
